The idea behind this little weblog project of mine is twofold. Firstly, it is a good way to let friends and family all over the world know what is happening in my life. In turn, it gives you all an opportunity to provide commentary on these events and share some of the happenings in your lives. I mean, let’s face it…emails are somewhat tedious and seldom sent as frequently as they should be. Also, I know how everyone likes to have their two cents worth… so now you can!

At the same time, I will be using this blog to document my views on current affairs and offer my opinions (of which I have many, as you know!) on Australian, South African and worldwide events. Hopfully you will all add yours as you see fit. Some people may find certain topics inappropriate or offensive…in the event of this happening, don’t read them. I know you are all good people and never swear, but please don’t use any naughty words (that you wouldn’t want mumsie and pops to read) when you comment.
