The Bird Flew?
Every week I read at least one news story about “Bird Flu”. Every single articles is the same! They all start off by stating that at an airport, on a farm or in a random pile of dead poultry, the bird flu virus had been discovered. Then they throw in the strain variety (H5N1 or H7N1) and whether or not it is a deadly one. The report is then promptly followed by a little except from a general report from some research facility saying that its just a matter or time before a pig contracts it from a bird and passes it on to a human and that soon WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!
Then (as an aside to the noteworthy dramatics), the reported states that the only people that have died from the virus have been in direct contact with same poultry. As in “they are situated on farms in the middle of nowhere in a random Chinese village working with / playing with / sharing a house with chickens 24/7″. Read more »
