Just stumbled across this seriously cool 3D interface and thought it was worth a mention.

I’m not sure how new it is (hopefully some of you haven’t seen it before!) but I think it’s one of the most innovative things I’ve seen in flash.
What I found in this was quite an organic and inviting experience… something that I think many 3D interfaces lack (probably, including my own!). The user quickly learns that the mouse interaction determines the position of the blurred objects… and then soon after, that those very objects are actually navigational devices.

The site only has two menus, whether this restriction is imposed to keep the fps up or just to keep the experience simple, is unclear. The popup/tooltips that appear with the user interaction immediately reveal clickable areas and help to avoid the often-loathed ‘mystery meat navigation’ that flash developers and designers often fall victim to.

The loading sequences are also interesting and original. The vibe of the content is quite experimental and personally, inspirational.

Let me know what you think? Did you like the site and how easy was it for you to figure out?
