Today was a good one - we launched a new game!

Rob and I (on behalf of our gracious employers, M&C Saatchi) today waved our new little flash lovechild off on its journey to become this Christmas season’s hottest online game.

Once again, Rob was responsible for making sure the visuals were second-to-none and I was the man counting the 1’s and 0’s, making sure the code was up to scratch.
After the great success that was ANZ Money Run, we were under some pressure (mainly from ourselves) to come up with another winner. This time, however, we decided to focus on delivering a concept that was easier to learn and play - something that could be enjoyed by gamers regardless of age or gender.
The plot is a simple one: Santa has, once again, left everything until the last minute and, unfortunately, he has had to rush Rudolf off to the vet. It’s up to you to assemble the remaining toys as quickly as you can and, ultimately, save Christmas.

Using only your mouse, click and drag to draw circles around similar-coloured tokens on the screen. These tokens soon combine to form a variety of toys, each with their own little animations and sounds. Along the way you’ll be tempted with special tokens that promise quick points and extra time… though your burden is to balance this lure with the overall objective - to completely build each toy on the stage before your time runs out for that level. You’ll need a keen eye and a steady hand. Check out the in-game instructions for more information.
Currently I’ve made it to level 9 (Rob has made it to level 14!) - I’d love to hear how well you go!
Good luck - http://www.busysanta.com
PS - I was scooped by Sam, my girlfriend, before I got a chance to blog about this! Check out her post and read up on her other rants here.
