I’ve been wanting to have a go at a puzzle/strategy/tetris-esque type game for a little while now - you’ll see that it’s on my “To Do” list - and whilst I haven’t really had the time or motivation to punch out a complete version, here’s a few steps in the right direction.
You can’t actually win or lose - maybe I’ll finish it off if there is a demand for it?!
Instructions
- Click a brick with at least two adjacent squares of the same colour to remove them.
- Use the numerical stepper on the lower left of the applet to change the number of colours currently in play.
- Click ‘New Line’ to force the creation of a new line of bricks (if there’s currently space for one)
- Click ‘Pause’ to… um… pause the game.
- Click ‘Reset’ to start again.
Normally the game would end once the screen fills and you’d get points for bricks and multipliers for multi-brick combos.
If you like the idea of this, then you’ll love the Java game that it was based on. Check out Collapse II.
