Moose Couture
A few weeks gone and a few baby moose steps further down the track. I’ve picked up some other freelance work at the moment so unfortunately the FLM empire has been playing second fiddle lately. Never fear though, when I’m not pushing pixels I’m definitely thinking about things… plotting… planning…
So, the latest development is that I’ve had a few t-shirt prototypes printed. I’m keen to get a store online and hopefully raise a few bucks to support the project, but before we get to that point, I need to see how the Footloosemoose works on cloth.
I’ve uploaded a few picks of the first five designs. Don’t fret if these don’t tickle your fancy, I’ve got more in the queue. The next round will include baby clothes, Buzzle the Bee and 3D prints of the Footloosemoose and O-Boys.
So here we go…

Classic Moose

Release Your Inner Moose

Moose to You Too

O-Boy Classic

O-Boy Stack
I really love seeing the work on another canvas – and I especially love being able to wear it. I’ve got the O-Boy Stack design on right now and I feel very cool indeed :)
Note that I’ve had these printed on XXL (my petit size) and usually I think you’d photograph the design on a Medium or Large shirt to get the best shirt to design ratio.
The next round of prints will also include designs for particular fabric colours. Buzzle will probably be on purple… the 3D O-Boys will be on something dark.
One thing I’ve figured out from this exercise is that I think generally wearing a shirt with large text on it can be quite intimidating as you’re inviting others to view, read and perhaps comment. They also feel more like advertising… so at this stage I guess I’ll keep them for prizes and promo purposes.
That’s it for now. Maybe you could help me out in the comments by telling me your favorite t-shirt colour?
And as the shirt says: Moose to you, too.

Looking great! Remember you have nephews with birthdays coming up (Nick next weekend!) who are VERY HAPPY to be walking billboards for you (albeit small ones).
Personally, I like dark tshirts. Navy is the best.
Hi Mike,
The shirts look good. Congrats on the new baby girl Chloe!!
I would sell your shirts, hoodies or whatever in my store this winter. I am sure they would be popular with the kids.
I like dark colloured shirts: dark blue or black. Although I am much more a fan of collared pollo shirts than t’s.
Cheers,
Michael Johncox
